anyone been to Yosem in the spring relatively recently ?
I hear may/june is cool/ok but less reliable than sept, what do you think ?
would also be interested to hear from any other e1/2 parties thinking of going out that way next year- many thx

In reply to daveycrocket: Hi Davey, im going to Yosemite next year to climb. will be going at the end of may start of june. they say this is the best time to go, but that does mean it gets busy. what you planning to do there? im planning to aid solo Washington column.

i went mid june and it was reasonably hot (over 25 degrees). Surprisingly Tuolumne pass didnt open till end of June as there was loads of snow up there.

we had no rain and didn't have any issues with mosquitoes, but the park was very busy. we regretted arriving on a weekend as it meant a lot of trouble getting into camp 4.
