Does anyone have any wild camping recommendations? Particulary in Snowdonia.

I promise not to tell anyone else

Part of the fun of wild camping is working out these things for yourself. Otherwise its just camping !

Seriously, sped some time with a map then go and explore.

Thanks all, I have my eye on somewhere for next week

Finding your own spot is part of the fun. Get your OS map out and look for:
  • A spot that's a good few miles from any road (in any given direction)
  • There are some great 'hanging valleys' - isolated and sheltered bowls high in the mountains
  • Near a fast moving stream/river for fresh water
  • A flat, grassy, stone-free patch - but avoid boggy areas!

Agree, satellite pictures often handy for looking at likely spots

In reply to ivebittenoffmorethanicanstu: Get yourself a decent hammock. Walk for an hour away from the road, find two trees and hang out.
