Could someone recommend me some nice sheltered chimney style routes in Scotland to try this week? It looks a wee bit blowy but I still fancy getting out.
So other than Deep Cut Chimney (on Hells Lum), Crypt Route and Great Chimney on the ben what other options are there?
How much actual Chimney Climbing is there on Chimney Route in SCNL?
Thanks,
Harry

It's not particularly recessed. But to be honest I find that chimneys are sometimes the worst places to be in such conditions - all the powder blows around in a blinding vortex with nowhere to escape to!

In reply to naffan: I dont think there will be any winter conditions to be found this weekend, yesterdays thaw was pretty big and another big thaw is forecast on friday and sat...

In reply to naffan: Route 1 on Carn Dearg on the Ben would probably be a goer, can't remember too much turf to speak of. Not sure what things are like over west though.

Stormy and milder but today but giving freeze thaw cycles over the rest of the week.
