Anybody know where I can purchase some fresh rubber? I fancy learning to resole my own shoe....

Bravo! I've re-covered bike saddles with new vinyl but never tried resoling a shoe apart from stick-on soles. I thoroughly applaud the idea of repairing and refurbishing well-used equipment rather than throwing it away.

Try Lancashire Sports Repairs in Burnley.

llanberis resoles are very good. Have had a few pairs of shoes done. Very cheap and quick. Almost feel like New shoes. Perfect for wall shoes or for comfy all day.

In reply to mann9076: the quality of torquills work at llanberis is very good. He does seem to keep the shoes feeling more like how they felt after a few wearings from new than other places.
