I am looking for some friendly competitions for an A-Level student to compete in to go towards their rock climbing assessment. It would be the first time they have taken part in a competition.

I have looked though the events calender, lots of them seem to be part of a series of events which are part way through.

Ideally I am hoping to find events in the south east (Cambridge, Norfolk, Essex, and North East London ideally, but further afield would be considered)

Hi Rachel, check out Highball Norwich. They run a winter bouldering league plus also a 'Nu kids on the bloc' comp with 'easier' (upto 6b/v4) problems for juniors and adults who don't take climbing too seriously.

It's got a huge comp wall with varied angles - a good test for anyone!
