Just looking for advice on a minor repair on my boots.

I used a pair of Sportiva Trango Extremes last season, got them out last week and found the rubber rand on the toe is peeling off a little bit. It doesn't look like it's going to cause a problem as it is, but I'd like to prevent it from getting worse.

It looks like a simple glue job, does that sound right? What kind of glue will hold well without just melting the rubber or something?

Seamgrip, but you'll have to hold the affected part in place while it dries as it has no contact strength.

I did all the research on appropriate glues and was about to invest eight or ten quid in one of them and try a (knowing my capabilities) bodged DIY job when I had a brainwave. I showed them to our local shoe repair guy - proper cobbler not your high street kiosk - he took them overnight and did a brilliant job for a fiver; and no sticky fingers for me!
