Hi

Please can anyone help?

I would like to be able to change the bails over quite frequently on my petzl lynx crampons.

Is there an easy way to change the bails as I have never managed it without getting cut to ribbons, bruised and generally beat up!!!

Even if it means modifying the bails.

cheers

In reply to Gazlynn:

Use a sling round the wire to pull the bail, and your foot (ie body weight) to steady the crampon.

Easy.

I usually just lay the crampon on its side, stand on it with both feet and use a sling to pull the metal bit of the bail out the hole. If this is what you're already doing not much else I can think of!

Its actually really simple! on one side the bail is kinked and the other straight, if you loop the heal peace strap round the straight side and place the lynx on its side on the ground and stand on the spikes then pull up and release the bail. this allows you to remove them with ease.

hope this makes sense
