I have recently replaced my Nomic grip tape with Self Amalgamating Tape from Scewfix. The tape is cheap and easy to apply but a harder compound than the original Petzl tape and less grippy. I've only used it on a couple of easy routes so far but my initial impressions are that I preferred the Petzl tape for feel.
