An amazing ridge..., 5 kbAlastair Begley describes one of the most sought-after routes in the Scottish winter mountains, a traverse of the Cuillin Ridge in perfect nick. This was pulled off in last year's amazing late season. There haven't been many weather windows like that this year, but here's hoping...

Sounds fantastic, but having done it in summer conditions this year, I don't think I could maintain the concentration for so long, let alone have the stamina with a pack. I love the use of the word 'interesting'....I have been in so many such situations myself, and whilst it is relative to the climber, we all know what you mean.

we were on it in summer a few years ago and it was touching 80 degrees ,a far cry from a winter ascent ,what a great route it is ...
