Really sad to hear this news. Such a shame! IMO he made the Leo Houlding films because without Stanley's aiding prowess they wouldn't have got to the top of many of the routes - Legend!

RIP 'Stanley' a great character and climber. Indeed he was great in the Alistair Lee films and also a short one We saw in Kendal where he took his girlfriends ashes to Patagonia and released them. Very very sad.
