A true & free spirit , huge inspiration & massive respect for the man .

Shocked , saddened but greatly admired the man & the fearless way that he lived he seemed to have a massive appetite for adventure .

Really sad to hear this news. Such a shame! IMO he made the Leo Houlding films because without Stanley's aiding prowess they wouldn't have got to the top of many of the routes - Legend!

He came over as a real nice guy, inspirational.I respected his spirit for adventure. He was great in the Alister Lee films, Enjoyed watching him climb. RIP Sean. Condolences to his Wife and family.

RIP 'Stanley' a great character and climber. Indeed he was great in the Alistair Lee films and also a short one We saw in Kendal where he took his girlfriends ashes to Patagonia and released them. Very very sad.
