Does anyone know what conditions are like at present on the Munro's in the area ?
Im heading that way in two days and wonder if I will need axe n crampons etc !

Take Both and expect to use them there is still plenty of snow cover high up, and more came down the last weekend.

Just back from Ben Alder Cottage.Extensive snow cover on hills in the area.Ice axe and crampons are probably essential.

The good news is all the access roads will be clear of snow (and ice unless you're really unlucky) so a bike would be a real boon for this area.
Hope you're not planning to stay at Culra??

I was there at the weekend and there is a lot of snow on the hills. Fully winter conditions.
