So one of the wires has snapped on my DMM 4CU size 3.5, i'm a tad skint so i'm after advice on how to bodge it up, as its not load bearing i'm assuming you can tie it up with a bit of fishing line or similar? Anyone who has self-repaired cam wires offer any advice please?

Strimmer plastic wire to Length, Melt and Squash ends?

fishing line worked great on most my cams, actually I think it was strimmer cord, similar stuff though. To fasten it - tie an overhand tighten and heat with a lighter to fix permanently.

I think tieing an overhand before melting and not over melting the knot will be a more bomb proof solution, mine never needed any maintenance after that. You can fix triggers in place with overhands too.

have you tried that? has the solder ever needed redoing? its not all the strong.

Seen it done on a smaller cam once, looked convincing and the person who did it seemed pleased with the result a while after
