Lake routes

Anyone climbed on the crags around Scafell? Is it possible to climb the VS routes in the current conditions?

It's an odd time to go to Scafell. No doubt it's possible, but it's very unlikely to be anything other than cold and wet.

Best crag in England in a heatwave though.

There will be plenty dry in the area though, I imagine Esk Buttress VSs would be OK (Medusa Wall is a great route) - others will know better than me.

All the crags are dry except for the natural seepages, but it is still quite cold and windy high up.

Top pitch of Pluto Raven crag Langdale was described to me as 'Patagonian' today - not sure i entirely agree but there is a brisk easterly which may well clatter into scafell - its dry though

I was on a cold CB last saturday - but a pleasantly warm Pikes Crag on friday. THere were folk on the Scafell Pinnacle on friday as well. South facing is OK - north facing a bit cold but was dry away from the cracks.
New guide just come out to titillate your fancies.
