Have booked Monday off work and been getting all excited about a long day out at Portland. Weather forecast now looks potentially a bit damp!! Anyone with more knowledge of the area care to state how badly it'll be affected if it rains lots over the weekend and even a bit on Monday?

Its gonna be a 2 - 3 hour drive, so dont want to waste it. I could cancel the day off and book another when the weather improves again but would rather go...

Between us we will propably be climbing grades between 5 and 6C and was hoping to visit Blacknor North and Cheyne Weares or the Cuttings areas.

I am by no means experienced but it rained all day yesterday and was nice and dry at the Cuttings today.

On the back of this forecast, I'd go. And I live 3 hours away.
Maybe should qualify that I also lived in Weymouth for a couple of years, so been to Portland more than once.

Wet weather options are somewhat limited however.
