off to the Alps,spending 2 weeks in cham,fancy going over to the Eiger and doing the Mitileggi ridge there,looking for guide book for the Eiger.very descriptive and good topo,s would be ideal,can anyone help.

In English, the Bernese Oberland AC guide is what you want. No topos for the Mittelegi but it's not that sort of route. In German the SAC do a selected guide to the area.

I did the Eiger traverse last summer. The only tricky route finding is choosing which tunnel to exit from the Eismeer station! The Mittellegi is just an exposed knife edge all the way and anything remotely tricky is draped in fixed ropes. Video link to my climb attached which may be useful. good luck!
