In reply to Graeme Alderson:

On a positive note, perhaps the brand will become more widely available. I've found a lot of climbing clothing brands (as opposed to general mountaineering brands), such as E9, hard to come by.

What game?
In reply to Graeme Alderson:

Well, it won't be 'bye bye Prana' unless Columbia are very foolish and decide to throw away brand identity that they've paid a lot of money for.

Has Mountain Hardwear suffered from being owned by Columbia?

In reply to captain paranoia:

Yes. Absolutely. Both Mountain Hardware and Montrail went through their wilderness years after being acquired. Mountain Hardware lost their Gore licence (a good thing some might say) and everything went a bit 'meh'. Innovation and development pretty much stopped and has only recently returned. Things look on the up for Mountain Hardware at least, but it has taken a good while to recover the ground lost!
In reply to gearslave:

Thanks; the question was genuine, and not rhetorical. You do sometimes boggle at the incompetence of corporate types; spend a lot of money on a company, and then bugger up what you've bought.
