Theres an indoor climbing wall with bouldering/leading called Base de Loisirs at Buthiers. The chateau in font is worth a look. 8 Euros to get in if I remember correctly. Theres also always decathalon.

Climbing : some areas are getting dry very quickly : Apremont or Cul de chien or 91.1. There's another indoor climbing wall as well as Buthiers, it's called Le Nautil at Pontault Combault.

Non climbing : Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is worth a look too. Catching a train to Paris is also a good idea (40 minutes from Fontainebleau to Paris)

you could take some waterproofs and some walking boots and go and explore some areas you're not sure how to get to/where the problems are...

...or sit in a bar drinking...

Learn French?German is good too as there seem to be quite a few German boulderers in the campsite. They don't all have perfect English.

Totally! I hate spending a wet day at Decathlon, much better to go and explore all those esoteric venues.

In reply to mattc: Eat lots of lovely cheese and drink lots of vin rouge...in conjunction with funky local dance radio station called fun FM....worked for us a cupla years back....on a more constructive note, Fontainebleau town is very nice...especially the palace/museum.
