shunt climbing

How would you log a route climbed on a shunt?

I log it as a top rope and just note in the comments that it was shunted. Top-roping is near enough what you are doing. None of the other selections seem applicable.

Yep, top rope. I know some people who log it as a solo which is complete nonsense!!

Years ago I added "My shunt" to my partners list! Then just put the route in as a top rope.

Yes if you are top roping on a shunt I log it as top rope then either create a partner called 'Shunt' or leave a comment if you so wish. This is presuming you are top rope shunting and not lead solo shunting.

Which is good as that shouldn't be a thing!


Thecrag includes solo tr and solo lead as tick types. Might be one for the UKC suggestion box.
