In Hexham for a couple of days for work.

Wondering whether anyone can provide an insight as to whether it's worthwhile lugging the bouldering mat up on a 4-hour train ride for a bit of after work bouldering on my own at Queens crag?

Looking for nothing too hard in the V2-V6 range, suitable for bouldering on my own.

Cheers,

Sam

If your coming up on the train, do you have transport when your in Hexham?
This time of year Queens is in good condition and if its an evening session you will get some sunshine. Its a lovely wild and remote spot, with excellent rock.
Worth a visit if you've never been before, though there are some worth while problems in the easier grades, the better ones tend to be in the higher 7a - 8a range.

These two places are much closer to Hexham, not in the same league as Queens of course, but each is ok for a bit of a play around.

note - the PHP on the server has been updated by the look of things, so the screens display errors alongside the info.

Taxi will cost you a bit ( and probably won't drop you at the crag )
