What is going on at Wilton 2? Went up there today. Climbers are supposed to have access to the quarry on Saturdays. Except, the gate is locked and there is more barbed wire than on the western front.

I know there is access from the path around the corner but this Mutual agreement with the gun club does not seem very mutual.

Go in to 3 and nip over the top. The gate and barb wire are for discouraging none gun club gun wielding scalleys from going in and blasting the place to bits.

You can still access as per BMC RAD.

The fences have been there a long time now.
The Wilton Management group have brought this up with the club(s) several times in the past, but they're adamant about access and discouraging non-club shooting.

W2 and W4 should be accessed from the Stile erected around the corner of W4 specifically for the purpose.
It's not ideal, but it's only a 2 minute walk.
