Essex Outdoors has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and qualified professional to coordinate climbing activity at The Lock climbing wall, a large indoor climbing facility located at Essex Outdoors Harlow.
The Lock is Essex’s leading indoor climbing centre, with 14m lead-climbing and top-rope routes plus bouldering wall, café & shop. It is used by a variety of user groups including individual members and groups of young people, and is open 7 days a week. It also shares a site with the Essex Outdoors Harlow centre, which provides outdoor learning opportunities to the young people of Essex and the wider community.
The post holder will coordinate the delivery of all climbing activity at The Lock, and will be responsible for the deployment of staff, equipment and resources. The successful applicant must therefore be able to demonstrate significant experience in the delivery and fulfilment of climbing activity.
Essex Outdoors is seeking applications from candidates holding the Mountain Instructor Award (MIA) or above, as a minimum.
Please note that the successful applicant to this post would be appointed on a fixed-term contract.
