Hi

I'm looking for a good jeans to climb with. I want them to skinny/normal fit but definitely not too baggy, stretch enough so I don't need to fold them halfway up my shins, yet still give me the mobility a normal climbing pant does (basically all mobility, as if climbing nude). If something like that exists.

I've heard some good stuff about the prAna pants but they don't ship internationally. You can recommend me anything by any brand and I'll look it up. Tell me why you like them

You can even list prAna pants as well, I'll go and ask my regular shops (who do sell prAna) and might try to order via them.

This is probably the best climbing jean: -

This sort of thing allows good freedom of movement and you could probably get away with not needing to roll them up so much:

A single jean will give you plenty of freedom. Its when they sew them into a pair they start to get restrictive.

There's plenty of UK prAna stockists, the Theorem jeans are a fairly skinny/straight cut.

Jean grey would be great, although being able to fly is probably cheating.

Back to reality - Ive got a pair of Climblox jeans that are comfortable and look good, although perhaps a bit expensive brand new

I bought some from Next which were stretchy... failing that..

MEGGINGS!

On a just slightly more serious note, I have these and they stretch well, great to climb in and fine for the pub.

Fairly slim fitting and I personally don't like the twisted seam but they aren't that noticeable when on.

It has an elastic waist. I'm female and we can access stretch denim without elastic waists. I'm glad I'm female. We can also access really cheap leggings but they can split which is bad, less bad than elastic waists though.

At least one could reasonably get away with describing them as
"pants" without sounding like a pathetic victim of imported marketing bollocks.

By the way "climbing jeans" are a truly hilarious concept.

In reply to HosteDenis: I got some Prana shorts thinking they would be stretchy and ideal for climbing.

They're not stretchy at all and quite annoying to climb in.

I love my ProRock jeans, but they're a bit baggy. If you're looking for slim/normal fit, go for Simond jeans (Decathlon).

Yep- Simond from Decathlon.

Correct.

I had a pair of Prana cords that I loved and wore to the point of extinction. Haven't yet found a suitable replacement for them
In reply to HosteDenis:

I'm on my third pair of Prana Axiom Jeans and would happily buy another: great fit, durable, and - in my eyes - smart enough to wear to the pub.

I've used climbing jeans for a while now - essentially because all the 'normal' jeans I bought got ripped cycling / running for the train / drunkenly buildering. So far the plan's worked - one pair's lasted me a few years longer than any other jeans, plus they've survived various knee bars / leg jams unscathed.

As such I recommend the Prana Axioms. Though if you want skinny there's an equivalent - the Theorem I believe (linked above).

What you need are Jeggings, the look if a jean, the fit of 80's Lycra .
