The same is true of the North Devon & Cornwall guide. Over 400 new routes climbed since the last edition, many of them future classics at their grade, even whole new crags discovered, but each one needs checking. During the recent fine spell I estimate that over 50 new routes right across the grade spectrum have been climbed, many not even recorded as yet. However all is not lost. The last definitive guides can often be purchased relatively cheaply and most of the new route descriptions are cross referenced with existing climbs, but you will have to trawl through the various local and national websites such as
http://www.javu.co.uk or
http://www.climbers-club.co.uk/category/new-route/ for the information. You will also be helping, if you do this and repeat some of the new routes, by commenting in the logbook section of UKC or contacting the local teams.
