Bertrand Delapierre’s brilliant climbing film Grand Libre au Grand Cap is now available to download and rent from SteepEdge. The film follows Arnaud Petit and Stéphanie Bodet as they attempt the first ascent of a route that is rumoured to be the toughest in the Alps.

The route ascends the Grand Capucin, an elegant 3,900-metre pinnacle that juts out of the Mont Blanc Massif. At 450 metres long, the route includes a stretch of 8b climbing.

Beautifully filmed by Delapierre, Grand Cap captures the majesty of the French Alps while also focusing on the minute features that are crucial to climbers when ascending these blank granite faces. Featuring lively discussions between Arnaud and Stéphanie, the film gives an intimate insight into one of the world’s most effective climbing partnerships.
