It's great to see that he still thinks of his time climbing as very precious

I had absolutely no idea. That is so awesome. He comes across as a really cool, humble guy

Can he really solo down routes head first? I imagine that would be quite a show-stopper at Stanage on a busy afternoon.

Great article. The cam placing Gollum photo is a highlight.

Put a guitar in his hands and it'd be Angus Young.

Maybe it was too subtle before and no-one noticed

Great article - I wonder how many more climbers there are in the world of acting?

I wonder where they got that? I posted that photo on Scottishclimbs at least ten years ago. I originally found it on an American climbing site (forget which one) where it had been posted by a guy called cryder who had an excellent and interesting gallery. I vaguely remember it might not even been his photo either.

Glad you enjoyed the article - it was so great to get a bit of his time to interview him, he was thrilled to talk climbing - I think it was something of a breath of fresh air for him on the day I went to meet him. I think his career is pretty much all-encompassing at the moment, so I guess the chances to get out for a climb are few and far between.
