Last month UKC included John Porter’s book One Day As A Tiger in a recommended Christmas reading list. This book is a biography of Alex MacIntyre, the author's friend and climbing partner. An ITV report and short video interview with John Porter about the book is now available on these link:

Thanks for the link to the interview, I think 'One day as a tiger' is the best climbing book I've read in years - I read Martin Boysen's biography just before & enjoyed that, but John Porter's book was in another league (although I admit I'm the same generation & I knew, if only slightly, many of the characters)
