I was in the Aldi just off London Rd in Sheffield earlier on, and they have a stack of 'Crane' HRM watches reduced to £6.99
I've been using one for a while, and they're pretty good. The chest strap is comfy enough, build quality seems ok, and as far as I can make out the functionality is comparable to a Polar at about 5 or 6 times the price.
"Reduced to clear" (they're usually £12.99), so no idea if they also have them in other stores at the mo. (They're something that pops up as a 'special' 2 or 3 times a year.)
