Boreal Lynx Mens, 3 kb]Boreal Lynx is the consummate all-rounder. Featuring a subtly downturned last shape and ultra sticky Zenith™ rubber, Lynx is just as happy padding up a friction slab as it is standing on micro edges. Such versatility makes this the perfect “do it all” shoe.

In reply to UKC Gear:

Speaking in general, is it even possible to have an all rounder shoe? Surely, the same shoe is not likely to perform for both short sport climbing and all-day multi-pitch? Just curious as "comfortable and downturned" shoes (Evolv Shamans - didn't have any others at that time for trad) made my feet numb on a semi-hanging belay. Less aggressive and/or roomier shoes don't perform that well while heel-hooking.

In reply to PPP:

Hi PPP.

We feel it is possible to have a good all-rounder.

The Lynx shape offers good levels of performance across a range of situations. While it is true that the more down-turned offerings available are likely to perform better on steeper rock, the Lynx still performs well in these situations. Similarly, while shoes such as Joker or Silex are very comfortable for long mountain routes, the Lynx shape is sufficiently comfortable to stand being worn for long periods of time.

Obviously this depends on the shape of your foot, but following on from the feedback we have had so far from customers, reviewers and our team climbers, our opinions have been reinforced.

We are running demos at walls around the country, I invite you to come along and try them for yourself to see what you think. Details on our Facebook page.
