Hello,

I am interested in the collective wisdom of UKC.

I fell a couple of meters while bouldering and went over my ankle when I landed. At the time it was sore but i did another route before stopping and then it seized up over night. I had it checked at hospital yesterday and it has been diagnosed as extensor (the tendon on the top of the foot) tendonitis and is quite uncomfortable.

I imagine this is quite a common climbing injury and I was wondering what others have done to speed up healing. At the moment i'm on rest, ice, pain killers and KT tape.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks, josh

Keep it moving, lots of reps,up down inwards outwards,10 of each, aim for 10 full sets a day.It will hurt, but that is the damage already done just grumbling away, not new damage. You gave to keep it mobile.
