Hi all,

Currently in Font and trying to plan for a wet/drying day tomorrow.

Any advice on problems or areas that are particularly quick drying? How about long traverses under an overhang that we can work, or roof problems to work with a juggy top out?

Anything from 6a up to 7a would be good.

Thanks!
Kevin

Just had a fairly wet week in Font, areas which (normally) dry quickest include

La Gorge Aux Chats,
95.2(Retour Aux Sources area)
Apremont

Try to avoid climbing in the wet or for a good while afterwards at areas with softer rock though (Elephant, Dame Juanne etc)

Have fun and hope you get out!

Have a rest, drink some wine. From Sunday the weather will be perfect.

I agree with Sean's list. I'd add Sabots to it. It rained all day one trip then dried up about 2pm, we popped to Sabots about 5pm and managed an hour or so, there was enough dry bits that we at least got some climbing done.

We went to Bas Cuvier one afternoon after nearly 48 hours of torrential rain and were amazed how dry it was especially as the rain had only stopped that morning... Tried another area just down the road first which was still dripping wet..

Thanks everyone. Ended up the writing day off, but looking good for the next couple of days

Good plan. Better to not break holds by trying to climb in the wet....... It is sandstone after all!
