Kai Lightner moving into the meat of the route, 3 kbSheffield-based climber Alex Barrows has climbed his first 9a - Era Vella (9a) in Margalef, Spain. The 45 metre long route first climbed by Chris Sharma in 2010 is renowned for being the ultimate endurance test and is the most repeated 9a in the world.

I got less cool. Climbing grade is inversely proportional to coolness.
Plus I got lime green shorts, which buck that trend by 1. Being cool and 2. Making me climb harder
