Just a reminder that the Bird Ban at Malham Cove this year covers all the routes on Terrace Wall and the Trad routes on the left end of the Right Wing to the left of Scorpio.
The Sport Routes on the upper Central Wall are unaffected except for any that breach the top overhang onto the Terrace. There are notices posted on site and RSPB observers are present daily. Apparently, an incident involving possible disturbance was reported to the police this weekend by a member of the public.
This is the first time for a few years that the birds have returned to this section of the Cove to breed so if you are unsure that your intended route may cause a problem please speak to the RSPB wardens at the viewing station.
