Due to a limited options scenario: Would you rather wear a cycling helmet or no helmet when trad climbing? Just after some quick numbers out of 10 thanks.

In reply to zimpara:

If I thought a helmet was necessary and I only had a bike helmet with me, I'd probably wear it.

In reply to zimpara:

If worried about the effects of a leader fall, yes. If worried about rockfall, no.

Depends on the crag

And I'd try to climb somewhere where no-one could see me looking like a tit.

Petzl meteor III is both cycling and climbing as well as whitewater.
For future reference if you want one that does them all.
In reply to zimpara:

It all depends on which crag I was climbing at.

Thumbs up for skid lid
In reply to zimpara:

I was going to wear a fox cycling helmet on a trip climbing to the Lakes recently as I don't currently own a climbing one, but never went on trip due to not having enough time off work.

Sleavseley made a recommendation to the meteor helmet. But did not partake in the survey... So please-go ahead

A bike lid is better than no lid at all

Anyway, builder's hard hat for me.
OP zimpara 19 Apr 2015
Just like this

Oh I see. I suppose there's a more elegant way than just using backspace?
 goose299 20 Apr 2015
To be fair, it's not hard.
You just delete the 'in reply to' bit
