A sad day. Paid my tribute this morning by listening to Live at the Regal.

Probably the finest Blue's guitarist in the world, ever.

A loss indeed. I came late to the Blues but love the genre now.

Good call, I will listen to Live at the Regal tonight, fantastic album.

BB was great, saw him live a few times and he was always magnificient.

This is fantastic - talk about a tough crowd... but he has them in the palm of his hand; youtube.com/watch?v=LWLAAzOBoBI&

Great musician and influence.

Mind, that's Ben E King gone, BB King gone,

Billie Jean must be bricking it.

I saw him the Liverpool Empire in 1990/91? It was after the great U2 collaboration , "Love goes to town" as he played a solo version. I had a seat at the very back in the middle, I sat in the isle the whole concert, mesmerised by the playing. Superb. I was open mouthed through most of it, seeing a hero exceed expectations. I bored non-guitarist friends for days afterwards.

RIP

Not just arguably the best guitar player ever, but surely, one of the best musicians ever. Just as much a virtuoso as the best classical musicians, and he pretty much invented his own style.

Must have been pushing 75 at the time of this performance, just look at how much he "feels" what he's playing.

He could sing a bit too!
