I am going to North Devon in the summer and looking for a guide to the area for bouldering, found bits on the Rusty peg website but struggled to find anything definitive about the area in a single guide, does it exist?

Any recomendadtions for family venues.

Thanks Indus

Any feedback (especially from someone who is not local) would be great - we're planning to have some bouldering in the definitive guide that we're working on. Also, depending whereabouts in North Devon you're staying, there's a facebook page for Exmoor bouldering - https://www.facebook.com/groups/855783061162060/ (not been there myself, but...).

There are a few here on our Pinterest page - not sure if you've got them all https://www.pinterest.com/emerson0551/uk-bouldering-topos/

All the above links should help: as for family friendly venues, the following beaches are situated close to bouldering, rock pools and surf. Apart from Hartland Quay and Welcombe/Marsland all are lifeguarded.

Croyde Bay and Woolacombe
Hartland Quay
Welcombe or Marsland Mouth
Duckspool
Sandy Mouth (good kids' boudering)
Northcott Mouth
Widemouth Bay The first 3 are in N Devon, the rest in N Cornwall!
