Malham Cove was quite cheery for a while during the BMC AGM; it did snow though!, 4 kbThe UK sport climbing season is well underway with a handful of ticks up to 8c+ over the last few weeks. Malham Cove has been a hive of activity with climbers travelling from far and wide to make the most of the British 'summer.' William Bosi, Jonathan Freeman and Alex Barrows have been keeping standards high since Ben Moon's historic ascent of Rainshadow a few weeks back.

Was this area not effected by the bird ban then?
Access notes say the ban was only lifted on July the 9th, so either its been a busy 4 days or Ben Moon etc aren't really setting a good example with regards to access issues.

Just curious if its not effected, or if the 'pros' have been taking the piss.

It's not affected. The Malham bird ban only affects a very small number of the trad routes and whether or not you can drill.
