Generic climbing video formula - why?!

I used to really love watching climbing videos. But now, it seems the editing of the majority of videos is so predictable, I just don't find it inspiring or stimulating any more.

The formula - peaceful establishing shots of landscapes and clouds, running water, heather, flowers, a fast-motion walk-in or drive-in, a few failed attempts of the crux, then as the climber sets off on their successful attempt the name and grade of the problem/route pops up and you realise, oh, this is the go they do it.

What's the point in building all the suspense, just to give away the plot and dispel all sense of unknown?! Will they send it? Will they get through the crux and fluff the topout?! Nope, because I've already seen the name of the problem and it's a foregone conclusion; I know they're gonna top it and I might as well just fast forward to the end and hope they've got some funny little out-takes.

Just sayin...

Sometimes they do that for you as well.
