Wintour's Leap

The rain has been pouring today but it is supposed to be cloudy with sun and light showers tomorrow (Monday). There is quite a bit of wind.

Hoping to climb around Wye Valley but never been so don't know how quickly it dries.

Has anyone seen the forecast that thinks it might be dry tomorrow (Monday). are there any spots that might be dry or are good after rain.

Cheers

Wyndcliffe has a tree canopy that will often keep some of the trad climbs dry when it is raining. I've heard that the sport climbing at Wyndcliffe is the quickest-drying in the area too (but not climbed on it myself)

Most of Wintour's dries pretty quickly to be honest. If you want to climb when it's actually raining there are some great single pitches around the Pedestal at the right end of GO Wall, things like the top pitch of Surrealist, Never Say Goodbye and Isle of Dogs. Also, there's the aptly named Umbrella Girdle, although it often gets a bit of seepage after prolonged rain.

Some of the overhanging sport routes at Ban Y Gor stay dry in the rain. And as above, Wyndcliffe quarry dries exceptionally fast as soon as the sun shines
