Hi there

I'm riding to Brighton and back once a week or so around weather and work. Often midweek.

It's a bitch solo and could do with company. Male or female but we probably won't get if you're a Tory...open to debate though...

Depart from home around 5/5.30 am, NW1 3TG areas via Brixton, Mitcham, Coulsdon and on to Brighton taking in Ditchling Beacon in around 4 hours. Approx 60 miles.

Stop on sea front for about 1.5 hours and a fantastic breakie at http://www.luckybeach.co.uk

Ride home in about 4 hours also.

If you're way quicker and don't mind me draughting that's cool; done it 3.15 with a very rapid friend.

Anyone keen get in touch.

Cheers
Solly

Hi Solly,

I might be up for this. I've done LBL once solo, found it quite an undertaking but I'm game for another go. Deffo not a Tory. I will probably be slower than you, last time I managed the L-B leg in about 5 1/2 hours although I did take a scenic route and I was taking it fairly steady. unfortunately my Garmin lost my data for the return leg but I came back via Steyning Bostal, if you are amenable for a detour at some point I would be keen to do this again for the 100 climbs tick. It's on Strava if you want to take a look:

https://www.strava.com/activities/343184516

Over a flat-ish 120 miles I'd probably expect to average around 15 mph solo, keen to get faster but for the time being I might spend longer drafting you than vice versa. I live quite near you in N16, happy with a 5am start, midweek day (e.g. weds/thurs) probably preferred. I might be game for next week or the week after.

Sorry back from climbing this weekend and just seen this. Hope you managed a good ride on Sat. I'm off to Kalymnos for two weeks from Sat, got a busy few days until then, so probably not going to have a chance now until end of September, I'd be keen to go then if you are still keen for longer rides into the autumn. I'm not on FB but will give you a shout on here when I'm back.

No prob; done a few and all good. Totally understand Facebook - largely navel gazing bollocks. that said, some useful and interesting stuff.

Have a great time in Kaly - I'm off to Alps 20 - end of September. Praying to a god I don't believe in for good weather haha
