This looks good

Not that I cycle enough to justify one but it looks pretty damn cool anyway

Ouch! A lifestyle accessory in the same mould as those softroaders that never get taken off road. Being aimed at cyclists also means it will not sell to non-cyclists and will remain a rarity. It might also attract unwelcome attention; I'd rather dismantle the bikes and hide them inside the boot of my Passat estate; we can fit two frames, four wheels and all the kit in the boot with the cover drawn, so nobody knows they are there.

For the money its likely to sell for I would probably buy something else but it looks nice

Once came across a couple who had adapted the rear of their car to take their two bikes upright side by side. Rear seat removed and installed brackets to attach their bikes to. All they did was remove the front wheels and the bikes went in and held upright using the bikes own front spindle on a brackets fitted to the floor of the car. Was very neatly done with the "new" floor of the rear of the car all carpeted out.

That was some 8yrs or so ago. They must have been ahead of the times .

It does seem a tad over specialised. That said considering its a concept car some bits of it may appear in a more sensible and mainstream format.

I know some people with a toyota something (one of the mini MVP type things about the size of a focus b max) that have done the same.

I have friends who have done that. Fine as long as all your bikes have similar forks, but of course thru-axles are becoming the norm on mountain bikes.

I used to have something similar to that Honda ... it was called a Land Rover Discovery ... you could fit 3 bikes + passengers + gear inside, the boot lid acted as a canopy and the drop gate a seat.

Also handy for driving in to forestry car parks.

:P

I'd bet it doesn't do 100mgp as this one claims to do.

Although the car just doesn't look as good, you can get an interior bike rack for a Seat Alhambra.
