Has anyone tried a pair? I was considering a pair of alpkit poles, but it strikes me (from the head torch market) that one mans cheaply imported Chinese carbon is another mans cheaply imported Chinese carbon and 23 quid for 190g a pole is pretty mega?

Yes. They are absolutely fine. No problems at all and the clip adjuster is much better than the twist style.

I have been using these for about a year or so (not much this year though) and they seem to be fine certainly better than the twist lock poles.

I use them only in scotland and wales in winter and have been going strong for 3 years i think now.

i'm 14 stone and with a heavy pack they haven't faulted once!

Yip, been using them a year and a half. Backpacking and regular hill use. I've wedged them in plenty of boulder and they've never snapped. Good clip locks on them too.

Mega. I bought two pairs (to get the girlfriend moving faster and falling over less!).

Someone told me the baskets fall off and get lost easily - should I super glue them on?
