But what is a reasonable rate? Hiring a professional for a day doesn't come cheap (check cost of plumber/plasterer/electrician) at all, but may be a worthwhile investment (especially if you can order some perfect weather too!). Possibly cheaper is a day/weekend/course for a small group at Plas y Brenin centre (same again with the weather!). Cheaper still is to keep pursuing the trainee MIA option - look back through old forum ads & email them thru profile link? Or post a partner request/ join a club & find someone willing to show you how to get going for the price of breakfast/cake/pint afterwards. Nik
