Hello,

I'm thinking of selling my bike but know very little about them. It's single speed and the frame is a Surly Steamroller (~£300 new). There are other logos like Gatorskin, Exotic, Shimmno and Ritchy on it but I can't seem to find the model numbers to find out how much the individual components are.

Does anyone have any easy tips on valuing them for a bike numpty?

Selling as a whole bike you won't get anywhere near the value of the individual parts, but it'll be obviously simpler to organise one sale rather than lots. Have a look on Pinkbike and Singletrackworld Buy/Sell sections for similar and maybe worth posting it on the "How much is my XYZ worth?" thread on Retrobike. Mainly for pre-1998 bikes, but a lot of riders of modern bikes who would probably be able to give you a steer.
