So the mrs and me have decided to take a couple of weeks off at the end of January and head to Costa Blanca. We have been before and we stayed near Benidorm and climbed in that area. This time we are looking to base ourselves around the Gandia area. Does anyone have any recommendations of cheap and or decent self-catering accommodation in this area?

pros: A nice big place, reasonably inexpensive apart from cleaning cost, helpful English owner makes it easy, balcony for last sun, wifi, quiet, supermarkets handy
cons: No basics provided, quite a long way back to motorway for daily climbing trips, no loo roll down loo, old-fashioned inside, unfomfortable beds

Nice to be further north for a change.
