Rage Against the Machine self titled album never fails to get me hyped up. Know Your Enemy in particular.

Really heavy, dark and scary techno also seems to do the job, but I like listening to that anyway...!

Listened to Tom Randall on trainingbeta whilst fingerboarding last night.

Had a great session, probably spurred on by feelings of inferiority when he got to the bit about one-arming a small campus rung.

My friend Joe is in a band called Wolfbastard.

"Sick in the Bath" is a good one for the headphones when I'm on the bike with a nasty uphill section in front of me.

I find roni size reprezents, brown paper bag does it for me, followed by dolly parton for the warm down phase

Ironically, that actually made me want to be sick in a bath.

In that case, I would suggest not listening to "I f-ck the Pope cos the pope f-cks kids"

Yeah, probably not my bag. I could see how it would steam you up hills if you're into that style of music however.

I suppose it depends what you mean by "train".

If it's coding / learning / concentration stuff, then it's got to be just music (absolutely no lyrics). Classical or not, whatever...as long as it's just 'instrumental', that's fine....any kind of human word just rips my attention away.

But if it's the gym or the bike, then someone screaming about Satan eating the pope at 15,000 BPS pretty much ticks all the boxes for me.

My gym playlist looks a bit like this...

youtube.com/watch?v=sXYa_qklKPc&
youtube.com/watch?v=J1pzvapaR1E&
youtube.com/watch?v=imlXGQz3K-c&

It makes me remember a time when I could jig about for 24 hours and not need to smear myself in tiger balm just to stand up the next day.

This is my favourite for scary moments. youtube.com/watch?v=ArkKbQG1_Mw&

Also good for slowing down when rushing and getting a nice gentle rhythm.
