Hi, does anybody know of a guidebook or website for mountaineering / easy rock climbing in Lofoten. I've searched for ages and found nothing, except the out of print rockfax. Surely there must be something...
Any help welcome!

They still have copies of the book in the climbing shop in Henningsvaer.

I don't think there is any other current source of information,

It is available on the Rockfax App in a full version including the 2010 update - http://www.rockfax.com/climbing-guides/books/lofoten-rock-2008/

They still had a big stack of them when I was there in June.

For extra "here be dragons" type fun they were selling copies of the old guide for a pittance as well.

I might have a copy of 'Climbing in the Magic Isles' in the loft. When are you going?

Nowt wrong with the old guide really beside obviously not having as many routes in it as the Rockfax.

If the OP is after mountaineering type routes, there is some coverage of Lofoten in http://www.amazon.co.uk/Walks-Scrambles-Norway-Anthony-Dyer/dp/1904466257 - although they might be more scrambly hikes than easy climbs. This is very old http://www.needlesports.com/2950/products/scandinavian-mountains.aspx but from what I remember covers basic details on routes to summits of various Lofoten peaks - but don't expect much more beyond "...was climbed in 1901 by Slingsby and party by a gully system on its north face".

I quite like it as well. It's a lot more compact and covers a few areas not in the Rockfax.

Actually, the old "scandinavian" mountains guide is the true here be dragoons one. I nearly got into a lot of trouble following a "description" in that one about 12 years ago
