Hi - I'm trying to decide between 2 ropes. The Tendon Ambition 9.8 Vs Mammut Infinity classic 9.5

To be used for mixed sport (mix of onsight, working and top roping) for a light person (No comments about my weight from people who know me please, its for my daughter.)

The Mammut gets great reviews, but i don't have much comparitive info on the Tendon. The stats on the label show the Tendon to be tough.... Any advice or experiences??

Cheers

If the new infinity is anything like the old one (9.4) then I would get another one. It's going well after 7 years of hard use (chopped down at each end) and pretty much refuses to die. I tend to go for the dry treated for durability and handling so this may be worth exploring but it will cost extra. Can't comment on the Tendon, but I prefer skinnier ropes so would probably rule it out on that basis.

Not tried the Tendon Ambition, but very pleased with the Tendon Master 9.7 (had it for 3 years now) It's alittle more expensive I think
