Does anyone know if its been sufficiently cold enough for Mam Tor to be "in" this week? The forecast shows it -3/-5 this week. I was thinking of taking a punt on Wednesday?

Looked at doing a few things today and Mam Tor being one of them. It wasn't climbable in my opinion and looked nothing like it did the day before. Winnats Pass was bare also

I did it on sunday and the snow was fine (pics are from then). Monday it was similar, a bit icier in fact (I live close to it and pass it every morning), but today was a couple of degrees warmer and has put the snowline up 100m or so (S side of Winnats was snowy at 8.30 this morning but isn't now). Just back from Alport Castles, which was fun, snow soft but turf still firm. It was +7 at the car at 8pm! It's already dropped to +2 though (at 400m) and there's still plenty of snow on the north side of Kinder, so I reckon the brooks on Ashop Edge might be worth a look tomorrow.
