I don't think it would take much, listening to that clip the ice sounded very hollow, and there's lots of water still coming down.

what does it matter? sure it may be more dangerous and less fun, but it will have melted in a day or two anyway so it doesn't need preserving for anyone. let people have their fun if they deem it worth the while.
