I'd like to run through my guidebooks entering the ticks into the UKC logbook, but at a time when I don't have a good internet connection.

Is there any way I can create a list offline, and then do a bulk-import of ticks into UKC?
In reply to Clinger:

Hi

Yes, you can do this. Q11 on the help page - http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/help.html

Which links to here - http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/uploadclimbs.html

Cheers

In reply to Clinger:

Apologies, Paul has just pointed out that you mean logbook ticks, not list of climbs. This is obvious had I read it a bit more carefully actually!

Afraid that what you ask for isn't possible. It is just too hard to match everything.

In reply to Alan James - Rockfax:

That's understandable.

Would the app enable me to do it? I use an android, but I'm sure I have an old iPhone 4 knocking about somewhere if it's apple only.

Alternatively, is there a UKC Logbooks API? I'm a software engineer so quite happy to put something quick-and-dirty together that would do the job for me.

In reply to Clinger:

Hi Clinger, the Rockfax app will do offline Logbook entries and syncs changes to UKC when there a net connection. It's only on iOS at the mo; the Android version will be out later this year. In both versions you can only log routes at crags you have purchased in the app as there's no facility to download lists of climbs on a per crag basis lists through the API.

I'm sure you can appreciate if you're asking about the API, that you need to have the climb ID number in order to use the Add to Logbook API endpoint.

We hope to have a fuller Logbook experience within the app in the future so things will change.
